Delete your account

You can delete your VeganLens account and all of its data at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent — we do not keep a copy, and it cannot be undone.

Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest route and needs no request from us.

  1. Open VeganLens
  2. Go to the Profile tab
  3. Tap Delete account

Your account is deleted straight away.

If you no longer have the app

If you have uninstalled VeganLens, lost access to the Apple or Google account you signed in with, or simply prefer to ask us, email:

Send the request from the email address associated with your account where possible — it is how we verify the account is yours. If you cannot, tell us which sign-in provider you used (Apple or Google) and the address you signed in with, and we will verify by another means before deleting anything.

We respond within 30 days, and normally much sooner.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • Your account record — the identifier from Apple or Google, and your email address
  • Your entire scan history, including every verdict and ingredient list
  • Every ingredient photo you have scanned, deleted from our image storage
  • Any Prompt Lab dataset entries and analysis runs derived from your scans
  • Your daily scan counter

What is not deleted

Only data that can no longer be linked to you:

  • Aggregated statistics, such as total scans performed across all users, which contain no identifier of any kind
  • Server error reports already sent to our error-reporting provider, which expire under that provider's own retention schedule (typically 90 days) and contain no scan content or email address
